VIDEO RECORDING USING THE VIBES MUSIC APP
In our opinion, it's really important to "record" music at the same time as recording your video and your voice, in order to keep your moves on the video on beat with the music. This is the best way to deliver the very best product to your users.
So here are the steps we suggest to set up your video equipment for success with the VIBES APP:
SET-UP.
This set-up includes using a RODE Wireless ME which has a transmitter (microphone) and a receiver.
- Clip the RODE microphone (transmitter) on to the instructor's shirt and the audio goes wirelessly to the receiver.
- Connect the Rode ME Receiver to the Rode USB Audio-interface which includes a cable for Apple (Lightning); Android (USB-C) and Windows (USB).
- The top of the Rode Audio-interface then connects to an iPhone/iPad for recording with the cable provided.
- Now take your music source (iPhone/Android) which is playing back the music from the Vibes Music app and connect it to the male part of the Y-Splitter.
- Now connect the Y-Splitter to the Rode Audio-interface using the Stereo Audio cable. Then connect the other output from the Y-Splitter goes Into the speaker in your room for playback--using the 2nd Stereo Audio cable.
- ***Note: If your music source and/or your video recording device don't have an audio jack output, you might need to also purchase 1 or more adapters depending upon whether they are Lightning or USB-C.
- Use the Rode Reporter app which is FREE and can be used on mobile phones (iOS and Android) to record to the phone.
