The Set-up
iPad
Your iPad will be the main camera used for your zoom class.
- Login to your zoom account on your iPad
- Arrange your iPad, so it will capture the audio and video for your zoom class.
- Note - Make sure to use the back camera (not the selfie version).
- Click on - Turn on original sound - each time you teach a class. (More on this below.)
Laptop
Your laptop will only be used for you to see your class participants. This camera is NOT the one used in the class.
- Login to your same Zoom account on your laptop
- On your laptop - mute Zoom, turn camera OFF, and mute computer.
- Remember - the laptop is used to see class participants only!
Stereo System
Both your voice and music will play through your stereo.
- Plug your bluetooth microphone into the stereo.
- Plug your phone into the stereo. (Note - aux cord connection is preferred over bluetooth connection.)
- Play your music from the Muscle Mix NOW app.
- Adjust the volume of the music and microphone separately to ensure the proper balance.
Optional: On-Demand recording
To get the most use out of your time, record each zoom class to use for your on-demand library.
- Take an additional mobile device and set up on a tripod.
- Record the class. (Remember to use the camera on the back!)
- Airdrop the video to your iPad (if you didn’t record it there), edit as needed, and upload to your on-demand channel.
Zoom Settings
It’s imperative to get your Zoom settings adjusted correctly for optimal audio quality.
- Open a zoom meeting and click on Audio Settings (by the microphone).
- Adjust both the microphone and speaker volume to mid-range.
- Under Suppress background noise, select LOW
- Under Music & Professional Audio
- Select Show in-meeting options to “Turn On Original Sound”
- Select Echo cancellation
- Select High fidelity music mode
Every Class - Click on Turn on Original Sound (in upper left corner)
*If on mobile device, click on the 3 dots in top right corner to turn on Original Sound.
